Cookies
No tracking, and no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask you.
The website (osm-os.com) sets no cookies. The account site (account.osm-os.com) sets
two, both strictly necessary for what you ask it to do, and only on that site:
__Host-osm-session (keeps you signed in; ends when you sign out, after 30 minutes
without activity, or at the latest after 12 hours) and __Host-csrf (protects forms
against other websites submitting them in your name; ends when you close the browser). No tracking, analytics or
advertising cookies, and no similar techniques. This is why there is no cookie banner.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-osm-session | account.osm-os.com | Keeps you signed in. | Until you sign out, after 30 minutes without activity, or after 12 hours at the latest |
__Host-csrf | account.osm-os.com | Protects forms against other websites submitting them in your name. | Until you close the browser |
Why we do not ask
A website must ask before it stores or reads anything on your device, unless that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive; in Germany § 25 TDDDG, in Austria § 165 (3) TKG 2021). Our two cookies are strictly necessary for signing in, and we store nothing else on your device: the account site's passkey script stores nothing either.
If you delete them
You can delete cookies in your browser at any time. On the account site you are then signed out, and a form you had open must be loaded again.
What else we keep, and why: Privacy policy.
